Hello everybody! My name is Miihkali and I’m a curly-coated retriever. I was born in August 2006 somewhere near Liverpool, and moved to Dublin when I was eight weeks old. Just weeks before my first birthday my family decided to move to England and now we have settled in Ipswich, which is a nice little town in county Suffolk.

 

I’ve got lots of friends here, which is not really surprising since I’m very handsome with thick, black curly coat and I also know the best games and ways of having fun! I’m a big and friendly boy with a great sense of humor, and I suppose that is quite attractive... Every time I go out I get loads of attention from people too. They always think I’m a labradoodle, which is not very nice. They giggle and think it is hilarious to see me jumping up on them, going through their legs (like most curlies do) and resting my head against their arms/shoulders/knees/face... And all of a sudden, when they realize their clothes, hair, face and hands are covered in dribble, curly hair and eye bogies, they don’t seem to be too keen anymore. And I don’t mean that I’m an extremely messy dog, I’m not. But I have to admit that the hoover is needed three or four times a week and the walls need wiping after I’ve shaken my head. Especially if I have been drinking water just before.
